Andrew Ziegler was arrested after his car got stuck in a ditch near Forsyth following police pursuit, authorities said.

While it can be difficult for lawyers to obtain copies of videos from police dashboard, body or facility cameras, it is nearly impossible for the public or media to see video evidence in South Dakota.

He then took the police vehicle on "the briefest (and we DO mean BRIEF) of joy rides," police said in a post on Facebook.
